The Bega Valley Economic Summit will be held at the recently opened Bega Valley Commemorative Civic Centre on 28 and 29 July.
An initiative of the Bega Valley Shire Council, the summit will focus on a number of emerging opportunities that have the potential to contribute significantly to future economic growth in the region.
Council’s General Manager, Leanne Barnes said the local economy is experiencing growth through major investments including the South East Regional Hospital, Port of Eden redevelopment and recent funding announcements for improvement to the Merimbula Regional Airport.
“These are all major foundations upon which our economic future can be built and secured.
“On top of this we have Canberra Airport commencing direct flights to and from Singapore and New Zealand, which gives us a chance to focus on these opportunities at the upcoming Bega Valley Economic Summit,” Ms Barnes said.
To be held over two days and including a Summit dinner, a number of industry leading experts have been confirmed to attend and contribute their views and guidance on how our region’s economy can benefit from opportunity and innovation.
Confirmed speakers include:
An invitation is extended to all businesses, industry, government or interested members of the community to register and be part of this exciting first for our Region.
