Sapphire Community @ Ricky's Place
Every Monday (except for public holidays), 12:30pm to 2:00pm
Ricky's Place is a free community cafe, open to all. It operates on a Monday from 12:30pm to 2:00pm, providing a delicious two or three-course meal for free or by donation. It is located at the St John Anglican Church hall at 1 Church Street, Bega. It is disability-accessible, with showers and toilets.
Ricky's Place is a community cafe offering great food and a social outing in a happy and enjoyable atmosphere. Operated by the people who run the Sapphire Community Pantry (Sapphire Community Projects Inc), it is a partnership with the Anglican Parish of Bega, but is not aligned to any religious group. Everyone is welcome, waged and unwaged. The menu changes weekly, depending on what is available, in season, and tasty. We have excellent chefs who usually make two or three main courses, one of which is vegetarian, as well as a choice of desserts. In winter, freshly made soup will also be available. Tea and coffee is provided. No bookings required, we are open Mondays from 12:30pm to 2:00pm, and take-aways are also provided.
