South Coast History Society Inc.
South Coast History Society is one of the Bega Valley Shire's largest, most active and most valued community groups. Our aim is simply to share as much of the absolutely fascinating history and heritage of the NSW South Coast with as many people as possible. We do this by: * Producing a FREE South Coast history magazine, 'Recollections', every second month - copies are available from all Bega Valley and Eurobodalla Libraries and on line at www.bit.ly/RecollectionsX where X is the issue number (as at June 2018 1 to 8; except issue 3 which is 3-. Please note this site is case-sensitive). Alternatively, simply email 'Send Recollections' to southcoasthistory@yahoo.com and we'll email you a PDF version of each future issue of 'Recollections' as soon as it is released. We encourage anyone with knowledge of, or a particular interest in, any aspect of local history to submit articles for consideration for publication in 'Recollections'. * Holding seminars that focus on different aspects of local history. Keep an eye on 'Recollections', local media, and South Coast History Society's website (www.southcoasthistory.com) for details. * And initiating other activities that help share the history and heritage of the area with our community. Membership of the South Coast History Society is just $15 per year (email us at southcoasthistory@yahoo.com and we'll send you details of how to become a member), with this modest membership fee primarily heping us to produce regular copies of 'Recollections'.
