Farm on the Green Inc

Tuesday and Thursday 8 - 10 am, Sunday 8am to 12 noon.

Farm on the Green is a not for profit organisation committed to growing fresh seasonal produce using organic principles.  We are an urban farm run by volunteers on an otherwise unused Bowling Green at Club Sapphire in Merimbula.  In addition to providing fresh vegetables, herbs, edible flowers and fruit for our volunteers, we hold a weekly market and donate food to community groups supporting people in need.  Through working bees, newsletters and education sessions volunteers can learn all aspects of food production, from soil preparation, planting, nurturing and harvesting, in a convivial environment. All levels of skill are welcome - many volunteers are competent gardeners, while others are completely new to growing fresh produce.  A volunteer Farm Manager, supported by Team Leaders at each working bee,  provide direction and oversight for the garden's operation.

Farm on the Green members  participate in working bees which are held on Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday mornings from 8 to 10 am.  Members can join on a regular roster, or attend on an ad hoc basis.  Our Farm Gate sales are open to the public on Sundays from 10 to 11 am.   Education sessions which are also open to the public are held on the 3rd Sunday of each month.
