After the bushfires hit our beautiful region at the end of 2019 and the beginning of 2020, our community needed a lot of help. When a community goes through something like that, hearts work beautifully but our minds, not so much. Our community stood together and faced the challenge with courage, kindness and hope. But we all had “fire-brain”. For many of us, that meant that, even with the official help offered, lots of our people just couldn’t deal with the paperwork involved in getting the help offered by governments. Our community sprouted spontaneous help initiatives like mushrooms and, in all of that loving kindness, Help Getting Help found our niche. HGH helped members of our community deal with the paperwork; making sure that our people and our business got the help that governments intended them to get.
Now HGH continues to help people get help, cutting through the red tape and making sense of the confusion whenever people need to reach out to government for help. We’ll keep offering the help for the bushfire recovery packages, the Coronavirus support packages and anything else that comes along.
