Bermagui Surf Life Saving Club

About Us The Bermagui Surf Life Saving Club was established in 1909.  Over the past century or so, the Club has evolved to become not only an important part of the Bermagui community life but also a critical link in the NSW Emergency Services. Bermagui SLSC has a membership base extending across the northern end of the Bega Valley Shire and even as far as Canberra, Cooma and Jindabyne. Bermagui SLSC is regularly competitively represented at branch, state and national levels, with outstanding results testament to the whole-hearted commitment of the members. General Enquiries:  admin@bermaguisls.org.au  Venue Hire The main hall is a large auditorium with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the bay, high ceilings and a beautiful timber floor.  It seats 120 people comfortably, with a smaller room to the side which is a great dancing space if you utilise the entire main hall for seating.  For smaller seated functions of 60-90, you will be able to fit a dance floor in the main room but both rooms are included in the hire.  Hire of the room includes the use of the tables, chairs, kitchen, crockery, glasses & cutlery.  The club has enough for 150 seated guests, plus an additional 50+ chairs (if you want to use them for the outdoor area as well, or for a ceremony external to the club).  Function Enquiries:   Bruce McAslan venue@bermaguisls.org.au 0429 008 442

What is Nippers?

Nippers is open to all Bermagui SLSC club members aged between 6 and 13.

Nippers runs on Sundays and we typically have between 40 and 50 kids attend each week. We use a rotation system with a combination of water activity stations (including boards, swim and wade) and beach/land activities (including sprints/relays, flags, first aid). Each activity lasts for 20 minutes and groups rotate to the next activity when the siren sounds.  We try to mix it up with some new activities each week.
