Bega and Eden Respiratory Clinic by Katungul

Katungul Aboriginal Corporation Regional Health and Community Services is taking part in the Ministry of Health's response to the Covid19 Pandemic. Katungul is running the Bega Respiratory Clinic on Wednesdays and Eden Respiratory Clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays. This clinic is to check people with mild to moderate respiratory symptoms (cough, sore throat, mild shortness of breath, runny nose, fevers) and to get tested for the Coronavirus causing Covid19.   Anyone can attend and please refer to www.katungul.com.au or call Katungul Bega at (02) 6492 0532 to book in and for more information. 

Katungul is pleased to be part of the Australian Government's response to COVID-19.

The purpose of the respiratory clinic is to assess, test and diagnose mild-to-moderate respiratory conditions, including COVID-19, influenza and pneumonia. Clinic bookings are ONLY for symptomatic patients.

Patients with any of the following symptoms are strongly encouraged to make an appointment to attend the clinic: - Fever - Dry cough - Sore throat - Runny or stuffy nose - Shortness of breath

Patients with any of the following symptoms may also make an appointment to attend the clinic: - Loss of taste or smell - Aches and pains - Headache - Conjunctivitis - Diarrhoea - A rash on skin or discoloration of fingers or toes

All patients tested for COVID-19 are required to and must home isolate until test results are provided by medical staff.

When to call triple zero (000): Please call triple zero (000) and ask for an ambulance if the person needing an appointment has any of these symptoms: - Rapid and/or difficulty breathing - Pain on breathing - Confusion - Skin feels unusually cold and sweaty, patchy discoloration or excessively pale skin - Central or crushing chest pain - Unconsciousness or suffering a seizure (fit) - Turning blue - Badly bleeding - Victim of a severe accident.

People are encouraged to book a telehealth appointment with their regular GP if they would like to clarify about their suitability to attend this clinic. If telehealth is not possible for you, consider booking one of the appointment times at this respiratory clinic.
