Assists the aged and medically dependent to maintain their independence and their quality of life. Every morning, a trained volunteer makes a short, friendly telephone call to ensure that they are safe and well. If the telephone is not answered, a second call is made. If there is no response, Red Cross initiates an emergency procedure and arranges assistance as required.

Living alone, isolated.
