Bega District Brass Band is a volunteer community band that has been around since 1899. We boast a proud history of developing local musicians and supporting community events. The Bega District Brass Band is hoping to attract and work with new learner musicians of all ages and abilities. They have formed a new band – The Bega All Ages Development (BAAD) Band to encourage young members to join. The BAAD Band sprung from a vision to create a pathway for new players to develop skills and eventually join the Bega District Brass Band. The BAAD Band welcomes all instruments, not just brass, and all skill levels including absolute beginners. Players range in age from seven to their 70s. Their repertoire ranges from pop songs and movie themes to jazz and blues standards. The Bega District Brass Band rehearses on a Monday at 6-7 pm and the BAAD Band rehearses 4:30-5.30 pm on Wednesdays, at The Bega District Band Hall on Canning St, Bega.
