Sapphire Coast Music Society Inc
The Sapphire Coast Music Society is a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to showcasing classical music of outstanding quality to members and supporters living in and around the beautiful Bega Valley. The Society presents a number of concerts during the year featuring artists from Canberra, Sydney, Melbourne plus international artists, all of whom include the Bega Valley and Narooma in their performing schedules. As part of its role in promoting classical music in the region, the Society is a supporter of young classical music talent and has supported, through donations. several promising young artists in and around the Bega Valley. The Society is also active in sponsoring and supporting musical classical education, training camps and workshops in the region. Financial funding for the Society comes primarily from ticket sales and membership dues.
Provides an avenue for members and the general community to meet, enjoy and participate in the performance of music and its associated social activities at an affordable price. Also produces and arranges concerts, shows and other musically-based programs, by professional and amateur musicians. A Yamaha concert grand piano is available for hire at Wolumla Hall.
