Candelo Community Energy Project
We are a community group looking at ways of managing, reducing and sharing energy across the Community of Candelo. Our mission is to develop and implement an entire community approach to the transition to solar energy. We want to promote a model/s that benefits the Candelo community financially, socially and ecologically. We are looking at a range of models and funding options. We have held the first of our community engagement events and will be undertaking more soon. We will finalise our design through community engagement, and want to have a feasibility study conducted by the end of this year. We would like to develop pilot sites within a holistic designed approach. We want to have solar assets that build resilience and that benefit the community of Candelo financially, socially and ecologically.
