Cobargo Quaama Business Recovery Group Incorporated

Cobargo Quaama Business Recovery Group Inc. (CQBRG) is a not-for-profit, local led bushfire recovery group which formed in response to the 2019 / 2020 Black Summer Bushfire disaster,
which destroyed a large part of Cobargo Village and devastated the surrounding region.  CQBRG invites a broad representation from all businesses across Cobargo and District to have a unified voice for local needs in the recovery process.

About the CQBRG

A not-for-profit organisation formed in 2020, the CQBRG focuses on helping the Cobargo area business community thrive.

Members include business proprietors/operators and owners of commercial premises located in the Cobargo or Quaama region.

Our main projects to help businesses trade post-fires include:

* The Cobargo Innovation Hub (north side of
Cobargo Co-operative)

* The Rebuild Cobargo Project (main street
rebuild), as a founding member of the
Cobargo Community Development
Corporation Ltd. (CCDC)

We host informal member gatherings and publish a regular newsletter.
  CQBRG has collaborated with a range of partners and organisations to deliver numerous bushfire recovery initiatives for the benefit of the local business community since 2020.   For more information visit our website: cqbr.org.au
 

CQBRG successfully applied for funding through the Bushfire Local Economic Recovery Funding stream State/Federal Governments, to rebuild and reinstate Cobargo's economic viability. The Rebuild project consists of 3 buildings; The Village Square, Market Hall and New Post Office, providing 5 apartments across the sites.

Eligibility Criteria

CQBRG Inc. welcome all businesses in the Cobargo, Quaama District to join - Membership Fee $5.00 per annum, contact by email or visit the website and click the 'Join' tab.
