12 November 2024

Bega Valley Shire Council advises road resealing works will be carried out in Bega and Merimbula over the next two weeks.

From 19 to 21 November, road resealing will be carried out in Bega to Bridge Street, Prospect Street, Deborah Crescent, Goldberg Place, Lynjohn Drive, East Street and Taronga Crescent, weather permitting.

From 21 to 29 November, road resealing will be carried out in Merimbula to Tasman Street, King Street, Hill Street, George Street, Wyeebo Lane, Apoona Street, Kowara Crescent, Munn Street, Imlay Street, Lakewood Drive, Tantawangalo Street, Calendo Court, Marine Parade, Burton Avenue, Chapman Avenue and Fishpen Road, weather permitting.

Resealing work plays an important role in renewing the life of the bitumen seal that deteriorates over time, helping keep roads safer for all users.

Local contractors will be carrying out the works between 7am and 6pm each day.

There will be no on-street parking during working hours.

Traffic conditions will be in place for the duration of the works. Road users should expect delays.

Traffic control will be on-site to help motorists and pedestrians. Where possible, please advise the crew members on site of where you need to go and assistance will be provided.

Council thanks the community for their patience while these important works are undertaken.
