Council is seeking expressions of interest for the use of the lower level of the Tura Marrang Library building at Tura Beach.
The Tura Marrang Library building was envisaged as a multi-purpose building which could cater for a range of community activities. Stage 1 of the facility, the library, was completed in 2015 however the lower level (stage 2) is yet to be developed.
There are several options available for the use of the site, both commercial and community-based.
A development application has been approved for the development of the lower level subject to the outcome of an expression of interest (EOI) process and future funding options. A report will be prepared for the elected Council for consideration prior to any development commencing.
About the space
Council is calling for expressions of interest (EOIs) for the use of the lower level of the Tura Marrang Library building.
The space may be suitable for use as offices, consultancy offices, retail, hospitality or commercial enterprise, or a combination of one or more.
Interested people and groups will need to make their own enquiries and provide evidence that their proposal meets planning and building regulations at their own cost.
Council would like to hear from organisations and or businesses interested in leasing the space/s on the basis of a financial return to Council.
Responses to the EOI will form part of a future report to Council prior to any redevelopment works commencing.
