The project is currently in the Pre-tender phase with construction commencement expected in the first half of 2010. Planning approval for the project was gained on 20 October 2009.

At its meeting on November 10, 2009 Bega
Valley Shire Council resolved to advertise
proposed changes to its child care and pre
school fees to be effective from January 1,
2010.
