A project focussed on upgrading key sections of Bermagui’s road and drainage network is set to commence next week.

From Monday (8 October) Council’s Civil Construction Team will be onsite to install approximately 600 metres of kerb and gutter between Keating Drive and George Street on the western side of Wallaga Lake Road.

This work will improve property access and importantly formalise stormwater management in the area.

Attention will turn to the road surface once the stormwater drainage, kerb and gutter is installed. The road pavement will be renewed on Wallaga Lake Road from the Cobargo Bermagui Road intersection through to Wapengo Street.

Traffic Control will be in place for the duration of the project and detours will used at times, however property access will be maintained.

A letterbox drop will be undertaken over the next few days, with all the work to be completed by the first week in December ahead of the busy Christmas period.

For more information on the project contact Council’s Projects Coordinator, James Downes, on (02) 6499 2222.
