The generosity of people is astounding during times of disaster and our communities have gone above and beyond to support their friends, families, neighbours, visitors, tourists and businesses as bushfires continue to burn across the Bega Valley landscape.
Council has been overwhelmed by the offer of donated goods from locals as well as from people all over Australia.
If you are thinking of donating goods to the evacuation centres for those impacted by the Bega Valley bushfires – thank you. However, no more goods are needed at this stage.
Community needs are still being assessed and we want to make sure any donations are managed in a coordinated way - please do not take any donated goods to the evacuation centres.
If you are wanting to assist and help those impacted by the recent fires, you can donate to the Bega Valley Community Disaster Relief Fund:
BSB: 633000
Account: 157357567
IBAN/BIC/Swift number: BENDAU3B for international donations.
All financial donations will be gratefully received.
More information about the Bega Valley Community Disaster Relief Fund will be available on Council’s website.
