Tuesday 25 October 2016

Bega Valley Shire Council’s fourth triennial community survey is about to begin with consultants, IRIS Research tasked with the job.

The survey independently measures the community's perception of the importance of key Council services as well as Council’s overall performance.

Survey results will inform the next stage of Council's Community Strategic Plan review and identify priority action areas for the delivery of Council services and facilities over the next 5 to 10 years.

Council’s Director of Strategy and Business Services, Lucas Scarpin said the survey will provide a valuable insight into community expectations that will help with forward planning.

The survey will be delivered by phone to a randomly selected and representative sample of the community in late October 2016.

The survey will also be available on Council’s website in November for people who do not get a chance to participate in the phone survey.

Following the survey IRIS Research will deliver a public information session to explain the results, and Council will hold targeted discussion groups focussing on the level of service delivery.
