Available Community Grants

BVSC & COORDINARE Community Grant - Closes 31 October

Small grants up to $2,500 available for communities impacted by the 2018 bushfires - Reedy Swamp, Vimy Ridge, Tathra and Yankees Gap.

For activities, groups or events that support social connection, physical health or mental health outcomes.

Bushfire Community Recovery and Resilience Fund - Closes Midday, 10 November 2020

Grants been $20,000 and $300,000 are available for organisations in bushfire-affected Local Government Areas, including community groups, councils, joint organisations, NGOs, and not-for-profits.

It is for social recovery and preparedness projects. Grants will be assessed with a regional lens to maximise the recovery support to communities across local government boundaries. Guidelines for Stream 2 funding

FRRR Strengthening Rural Communities - Closes 24 November

  1. Small & Vital - up to $10,000 grants available. Communities in non-metropolitan areas with fewer than 15,000 people are prioritised.
  2. Bushfire Recovery – up to $25,000 grants available. Projects that enhance the recovery of communities affected by the Sept 2019 to Feb 2020 bushfires are eligible.

Bushfire Recovery for Wildlife and Habitat Community Grants Program - Close 27 November 5pm

Grants from $5,000 $150,000 for recovery efforts in areas affected by the 2019-20 bushfires by:

  • supporting recovery of native flora and fauna
  • involving local communities, community groups and Traditional Owners, in delivering bushfire recovery activities for native flora and fauna.

Indigenous Fire and Land Management Workshops Program - Open 2 November, Close 10 December 5pm

Grants from $20,000 to $200,000 to support Indigenous organisations, Indigenous businesses and Traditional Owners to lead workshops aimed at sharing and strengthening knowledge of Indigenous fire and land management practices.
