Bega Valley Shire Library has a ‘spring-loaded’ program of school holiday activities lined up to keep children and teenagers happy these holidays.

Programs and Partnerships Officer, Scott Baker said the library’s school holiday program caters to a range of ages from pre-schoolers right through to older teenagers.

“We’ve mixed it up with some Spring-themed craft activities using recycled and found materials to make wind chimes, bird feeders and kaleidoscopes combined with some techno digital music workshops and a Biting Writing workshop that looks at narratives and forming a plot,” he said.

The one-day Making Beats Ableton workshop will give participants an introduction to using Ableton Live and the Push controller to make digital music. Participants must be over 14 years. Ableton Live is a software tool for composing, recording, arranging and mixing music.

Normal Storytime and Rhyme Time sessions will continue through the holidays and do not require bookings.

To see the full line-up of activities and to make a booking, go to www.begavalleyshirelibrary.eventbrite.com.au or contact your local library.
