Following on from the successful Pathway Home workshops and drop-in sessions last month, Bega Valley Shire Council is holding a similar event, with a twist.

Tim Lee and Noel Thompson from the Australian Institute of Architects will be at the Cobargo School of Arts Hall on Saturday 24 October for COVIDSafe Speed Date A Designer sessions, for bushfire-affected residents looking to rebuild lost homes.

Between 11am and 4pm, bushfire-affected residents can receive a free, personalised 30-minute session with a design professional to discuss their rebuilding plans and design issues specific to their land.

Topics for discussion include basic design and siting, access, power supply, water requirements, biodiversity, indigenous heritage, BAL ratings, asset protection zones, setbacks, building restrictions and basic planning advice.

If you are interested, book a place now. Bring along your Lot and DP number (if you do not have these we can find them for you), your available budget, any scrapbook ideas, pictures, designs, styles, colours, landscaping etc, and a list questions that you need clarification on.
