8 January 2020

Due to the impacts of the bushfires in our local area, Bega Valley Shire Council’s Children’s Services have needed to revise start dates for this year, with the safety of all children, families and staff remaining our focus.

Staff members are currently busy making sure each centre is safe, clean and ready to welcome children back as soon as possible.

Please note the following important information regarding our various centres:

Eden Early Learning Centre

  • Due to existing fire risk in the Eden area and the amount of smoke and ash at the centre, the start date for programs has been delayed.
  • The centre is currently closed until further notice.
  • Staff members are undertaking further assessments and preparations at the centre and will provide further advice to families as soon as possible.

Bandara

  • No changes to start dates.
  • Long Day Care will start on Tuesday 14 January
  • Preschool program will start on Tuesday 28 January
  • After School Care will start on Wednesday 29 January

Sapphire Mobile Preschool

  • No changes to start dates.
  • SMP will start at Candelo on Wednesday 29 January
  • SMP will start at Bemboka on Thursday 30 January

If you require further information, please contact Matt Simpson (Coordinator Children’s Services) on 6499 2455.
