Bega Valley Shire Council advises works to replace Katchencarry Creek Bridge on Upper Brogo Road will commence on Monday 9 December and is expected to be completed by March 2025, weather permitting.

Council’s Bridge team will be replacing the existing single-lane timber bridge over Katchencarry Creek with a new dual-lane concrete bridge structure.

The new concrete bridge will be more resilient to natural disasters such as fire and flooding, ensuring Upper Brogo Road can be reopened sooner following major weather events.

It will also improve traffic flow and will ease future maintenance burden.

The road will be closed at the bridge for the duration of the works.

Road users should allow extra travel time.

Council thanks the community for their patience while these important works are being undertaken.

This project is funded by the Transport for NSW Fixing Country Bridges Program.
