Update for Wallaga Lake Road works

Bega Valley Shire Council advises road works on Wallaga Lake Road, between the intersection of Lake View Drive and Wallaga Lake Holiday Park, will re-commence in 2026.

Bega Valley Shire Council advises road works on Wallaga Lake Road, between the intersection of Lake View Drive and Wallaga Lake Holiday Park, will re-commence in 2026.

Following suspension of works in mid-2024 due to midden discovery, Council was required to prepare an Aboriginal Heritage Impact Permit (AHIP) for assessment by Heritage NSW.

This assessment and some required re-design for the project is now complete.

Salvage works will need to be carried out before the road works can re-commence. This is expected to be completed later this year.

Council will keep the community updated as these works progress.
