Cobargo residents will soon be able to walk across the renewed Murrabrine Bridge as works on the pedestrian walkway approach completion.

Road users will also be treated to both lanes opening in October as works reach the stage where the bridge will be fully operational.

Contractors are carrying out final works, including footpaths, landscaping and the installation of a temporary handrail.

Global supply issues have led to a delay in receiving components for the permanent handrail, which will be installed and the bridge works completed by the end of November.

The Murrabrine Bridge project is funded by the NSW Government’s Fixing country Bridges grant program and the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development, Communications and the Arts.
