Big Jack Mountain Road changed traffic conditions

Big Jack Mountain Road is now closed after multiple embankment damages occurred, following the recent flood event.

Big Jack Mountain Road is now closed after multiple embankment damages occurred, following the recent flood event. The damages are located 24km from the Intersection of Wyndham Street, Burragate, unfortunately due to safety reasons Council will be required to maintain a full road closure
Council is currently undertaking assessment for restoration works to take place as soon as possible. Works will take place through the Disaster Recovery Funding Arrangements (DRFA) program jointly funded by the Australian Government and state and territory governments.
Traffic signs will be in place
Council will provide the community further updates on progress of construction works and timeline when finalised.
