service will keep you in touch with what is
happening in the shire, give commentary on
current issues and provide links to media
releases, reports and other documents. This
service also gives you access to council's
E-Agenda which will be emailed to you on the
Thursday evening prior to a council meeting. |
Bega Valley Shire
Council meetings are held every three weeks with the exception of December and
January.
The meetings start
at 2pm and are held in the Council Chambers at Zingel Place Bega. The meetings
commence with the Ordinary Meeting of Council which includes the Standing
Committee Meetings that consider individual reports.
The meeting agenda
is available here on council's web site after 5pm on the Thursday or at
Council's Offices on the Friday prior to the meetings.
Members of the
public are welcome to attend the meeting.

Request to Address Council (Deputations by prior
arrangement)
Requests to address
Council need to be received 5 (working) days prior
to the meeting, to be included in the Agenda for
that meeting. Late requests will be considered,
however they must be received by 4 pm on the day
before the meeting. For more information please read
our frequently asked questions.
Requests can be submitted via email, fax or post.
Register of voting record -
planning matters
The Local Government Act requires Council to
maintain a register that records which councillors
vote for and which councillors vote against each
planning decision of the Council.
